Types of Vehicles
No matter what type of car you drive, CityWide Auto Care has you covered. We service domestic cars, imported cars, diesel vehicles, and fleets.
Domestic
Domestic cars are vehicles built in the USA by an American manufacturer. Examples of domestic car brands include Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler, also referred to as America’s “big three”. Domestic cars are generally cheaper to own and repair because parts can be sourced locally and obtained for a cheaper price.
Imports
Imported cars are vehicles that are made in another country and then imported to the US for sale. Examples of foreign brands include Audi (Germany), Fiat (Italy), and Lexus (Japan). Imported cars, especially luxury brands such as Mercedes-Benz and Audi, can be more expensive to repair because parts are often difficult to source and expensive to replace. Some models also require special knowledge in order to repair them due to differing techniques and technology across countries.
Diesel
A diesel engine is an entirely different beast than a standard gasoline engine, and they require special maintenance and tune-ups to keep them running smoothly. Paying special attention to coolant acidity levels, keeping the engine clean, and changing the oil every 5,000 miles or less are extra steps that owners of diesel vehicles need to take in order to extend the lifespan of their vehicle. Here at CityWide Auto Care, we’re seasoned experts in diesel vehicle maintenance, and we’ll make sure that your engine is properly maintained and cared for.
